Joyce was one of the triplets born the day after we went to see the Martins in concert so we named the new borns Joyce, Judy and Jonathan after the Christian singing trio. Joyce is a black/tan buckskin that resembles her dam, Elna, very much.
Joyce freshened March 2004 and is excellent on the milking stand - calm and easy to milk. Her teats are a good size and well shaped for a first freshener and expresses quickly and cleanly. I have been milking her for over a year now and she is still giving almost a quart of milk on one time a day milkings. Joyce is a joy to milk. She will only improve with each future freshening.
